TOP 10 Walt Disney World Snacks

Updated: Jul 10

There are so many reasons to go to Walt Disney World...the magic, the rides, the characters...but FOOD? Yes, food is one of my favorite reasons to visit.

Some Disney World treats are all-time classics and fan favorites, but some new and exciting additions have earned a spot on this epic Walt Disney World Snack Bucket List.

I enlisted the help of 25 fellow Disney Travel Advisors to recommend their very favorite Walt Disney World snack. It was a tough job to narrow them down to the top 10, as Disney enthusiasts tend to be VERY passionate about their favorite Disney foods. But someone had to do it, so here we go...

10. Chocolate Croissant

Where to find it:

Located at various Starbucks and quick-service locations throughout Walt Disney World.

Why you need to try it:

Nobody will bat an eye at you for basically eating dessert for breakfast at Disney...and this chocolate croissant is a delicious way to start the day! TIP: Ask to have it heated up!

9. Woody's Lunch Box Tart

Where to find it:

Woody's Lunch Box quick-service location inside of Hollywood Studios - within Toy Story Land.

Why you need to try it:

Let's stay with breakfast for a minute - if you loved Pop-Tarts as a kid (or still do, no judgment here!) you will LOVE these. Baked fresh, they offer a chocolate-hazelnut version every day, along with a seasonal flavor, Fall Maple Flavor seen here. A fun, yet complex, twist on this favorite breakfast treat.

8. Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse

Where to find it:

Tucked back within the Pandora area of Animal Kingdom, Satu'li Canteen serves up unique and fresh flavors that have completely elevated the term "theme park food".

Why you need to try it:

The dessert looks exotic, and it's flavors are complex, as well. Layers of blueberry cheesecake, passion fruit curd, and meringue, with a white chocolate square - it's light, tangy, and fruity.

7. Mickey Beneigts

Where to find it:

These can be found at Port Orleans French Quarter - at the quick service location, Sassagoula Floatworks. Yes, a bit out of the way - but if you're in the area, totally worth it.

Why you need to try it:

Fried to perfection and topped with powdered sugar - these are classic beneigts, you simply cannot go wrong with these warm and flakey pastries. The fact that they're Mickey-shaped makes them all the better. Get the chocolate dipping sauce, trust me.

6. Loaded Tots

Where to find it:

Friar's Nook inside Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom offers this tasty and savory snack.

Why you need to try it:

I can't help but notice the reoccurring theme that Disney takes a classic childhood favorite and elevates it to a whole new snacking experience. These tots come smothered in two current varieties: Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese and Loaded Buffalo Chicken but they are constantly rolling out new flavor combos so keep an eye out.

5. Cheeseburger Eggroll

Where to find it:

Located at a snack cart within Adventureland inside the Magic Kingdom, these odd-flavored egg roll snacks are surprisingly delicious!

Why you need to try it:

No actual eggs involved - the components of a cheeseburger tucked into a wrapper and fried until flakey and hot. These are SO yummy!

4. Popcorn

Where to find it:

You can find popcorn at the stands located throughout all four Disney World theme parks.

Why you need to try it:

This is a favorite with kids because, well, it's popcorn. And it's a favorite for adults because it's a great value. If you purchase a bucket for $10-$15, you can get refills for the remainder of your stay for only $2 - hot and fresh snack for on the go. TIP: don't use a snack credit on popcorn refill - because it is so economical it's not a good value for credit use.

3. Mickey Bar

Where to find it:

Ice Cream Mickey Bars are found at snack stations throughout all four Disney World theme parks.

Why you need to try it:

A timeless treat, the Mickey Bar ranks as a must-have treat for most Disney Enthusiasts. Nothing beats the heat quite like it.

2. Cupcakes

Where to find it:

Multiple locations throughout Walt Disney World feature specialty cupcakes.

Why you need to try it:

I couldn't possibly pick just one - the varieties are literally endless and ever-changing. Disney does cupcakes WELL. Not only are they tasty, but they're also like mini works of art!

1. Dole Whip

Where to find it:

Multiple locations throughout Walt Disney World feature specialty cupcakes. The most well-known spot is Aloha Isle inside Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, but you can also get Dole Whip at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Animal Kingdom, Market Place Snacks at Disney Springs, and at Disney's Polynesian Resort.

Why you need to try it:

This was hands-down the #1 Disney snack as voted by my fellow Disney travel advisors...it's a dairy-free and gluten-free pineapple soft serve dessert that's served up in MANY different ways throughout Walt Disney World! Try it with RUM (as seen above), or Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Dole Whip atop (seen below).
